1)Thankful for our health, because our health issues are so tiny when compared to so many folks. (John even ran his first 5k in October!)
2)Thankful for wonderful friends through the years. We were able to visit friends in Westcliffe recently, and we're happily anticipating their visit here for Thanksgiving.

3)Thankful we live in a country where we can vote. It's not a perfect country, but this is such a privilege and resposibility that should not be taken for granted, as we could surely lose it. This was the first year Trey could vote, so he proudly sent in his Florida absentee ballot.
4)Thankful for all the Saturday-pizza-and-a-movie nights that our family has enjoyed together, and that the kids still look forward to that time.

5)Thankful for each holiday our family has shared together, knowing that it will not always be like this. :(
6)Thankful for the infinite amount of humor enjoyed in our home. And for markers that wash off in the shower.
7)Thankful for a husband that takes me away every now-and-again just to be together.

8)Thankful for the beauty of God's creation that we have been able to see. We were able to take the kids to Estes Park where the elk freely roam the town, and we also went to Rocky Mountain National Park where the kids were able to sled and snowboard down Hidden Valley.

9)Thankful that the only living God "so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (Jn. 3:16) "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 Jn. 5:13)
I have LOTS to be thankful for, huh?!?!? :)
And I'm thankful for blogging, because I've met such wonderful people, like you!
ReplyDeletePeace, Laughter, and a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Christina,
ReplyDeleteI should have added that to my list of things, because I feel the same way about you and some other neat folks I've been privileged to meet via blogging. =)
A very Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
Hey, me too! I like both of you up there!
ReplyDeleteYes, you DO have much to be thankful for. Good for Trey, glad he got to vote! How cool that your husband plans time alone with you. I know if we were able, my husband would like to do the same for us. Someday! Thanks for sharing your "Thankful" list. You've got a great family. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
